Our Story

Our story began in the Spring of 2017. With Easter quickly approaching, Christy’s kids were buzzing with excitement and bedtime seemed to take hours! The Bedtime Bunny made her first appearance at our house that year, making sure that the kids were in bed, so that the Easter Bunny would be able to come.

After Easter was over, the Bedtime Bunny continued to visit each night, and our kids continued to go to bed each night (and actually stay there)! The Bedtime Bunny started leaving her own treats or notes, especially on birthdays or sometimes just because. Over time, the word spread to family and friends (including Gayle, Christy’s sister and co-author), and new bedtime bunnies have started hopping to their houses, too.

To this day, our Bedtime Bunny continues to visit each night. As our kids have gotten older, they began to write letters to our Bunny, asking about her story – where does she live? Is she a kid or grown-up bunny? Who are her parents? Our book, The Bedtime Bunny, is the story that evolved through this correspondence.
